The Next Steps: Moving Forward with NCNW’s Move-On Path

At NCNW, we believe that recovery from homelessness is about more than just finding shelter, it’s about rebuilding your life, your confidence, and your wellbeing. That’s why our Accredited Property Pathways Training Programme is designed not only to support people with housing, but also to help them heal and grow.
The next steps on your journey matter. And with NCNW, you don’t have to take them alone.
What Is NCNW’S Property Pathways Programme?
The Property Pathways Programme is our structured support programme for individuals accommodated with NCNW consisting of 19 units of tenancy management, life skills and mental health support. It focuses on preparing you for independent living by offering tailored emotional, practical, and personal support.
The Pathway Programme: Building Toward Independence
Our Property Pathways Programme is a practical and empowering part of the move-on journey. It includes:
- Life skills workshops – Budgeting, cooking, and managing a household
- Employment and training support – CV help, interview skills, volunteering and training opportunities
- Support with housing and benefits applications – So you’re ready when it’s time to move on
Whether you’re working on self-belief or setting goals for the future, the Property Pathways Programme is here to support every step.
Mental Health Support
We understand that homelessness often comes with emotional challenges. That’s why we embed mental health support at the heart of this journey—because moving forward means caring for the whole person, not just their housing needs.
Your wellbeing is a priority. During your time with NCNW, you will also have access to a range of mental health services, including:
- Counselling – One-to-one sessions with qualified professionals
- Listening Ear – A safe, non-judgmental space to talk when you need someone to listen
- Emotional Check-Ins – Regular chats to see how you’re feeling and identify any areas you might need support with
We know that processing past trauma, anxiety, or depression takes time. Our mental health support is designed to meet you where you are—and move at your pace.
Why This Matters
The transition from homelessness to independence can feel overwhelming. That’s why our accommodation support package is about more than just moving out—it’s about moving forward. We want everyone who stays with NCNW to leave not just with keys in hand, but with tools, support, and hope for what’s ahead.
No two journeys are the same, but at NCNW, we walk alongside you—offering support, encouragement, and space to grow. If you’re part of our service now, or thinking about joining us, know this:
You deserve more than just a roof—you deserve the chance to rebuild, recover, and thrive.
