From the streets to stability and a future
“The support I’ve had means I’m the happiest I’ve been in years.”
Ryan came to NCNW after experiencing street homelessness and the loss of his home and family. After an initial placement that was not right for him, he returned to the streets before reaching out again. This time, NCNW provided accommodation that met his needs, allowing him to complete a college plumbing course, rebuild his confidence, and move into a supported move-on property while waiting for a permanent home.
Finding safety at the moment it mattered most
“NCNW saved my life.”
Alex contacted NCNW during a period of extreme crisis while experiencing street homelessness and feeling there was no way out. A referral at the right moment led to emergency accommodation that provided immediate safety and stability. With ongoing support from NCNW staff, Alex’s mindset and confidence began to improve, and life started to feel manageable again.
A safe place to rebuild after displacement
“The whole package of support from NCNW was a lifeline.”
After being granted refugee status, Farah became homeless when her asylum accommodation ended due to delays outside of her control. NCNW provided safe accommodation and ongoing support, including welfare check-ins, counselling, and training. With this stability, Farah has begun rebuilding her life and finding purpose through voluntary work while working towards permanent housing.

Our Supported Accommodation Referral Process
The First Step Towards A Fresh Start
Arranging supported accommodation requires trust. Our process is transparent and safeguarding-led. We work closely with beneficiaries to ensure every placement is safe, appropriate, and respectful of the individual’s needs and goals. We are currently accepting referrals for single people, aged 18+, in receipt of Universal Credit, who are looking for accommodation
Accommodation Support That Meets You Where They Are
